As part of our recent Push Notification enhancements, we’ve now introduced a new message counter icon for both Coach and Student users within the mobile apps.
Previously, when a new message was received, the counter would update only on the app icon and within the Activity Feed. However, no indicator appeared directly on the Messages tab, which made it less intuitive for users to know when they had unread messages.
With this update, a dedicated counter icon now appears on the Messages tab—separate from the Activity Feed counter—making it easier to identify new in-app messages at a glance. Additionally, the counter will appear within both Messages and Groups tabs and directly on the individual conversation where a new message has been received:
