When a gift card is purchased through the Store area, or manually created within the Store Admin section, a code is generated for the recipient which is associated to a gift card balance. This balance can be applied by the recipient to any lessons or classes in the booking system or products in the store.
The balance is deducted from the Gift Card and if any balance is remaining this is automatically added to the students account to use in the future. You can view Gift Cards that have been processed through the Store using the Gift Card Details Screen under the Booking Admin menu navigation in the Manager user role:
On this screen, you can see the following information:
- Purchase Date - The date the gift card was purchased in the store or manually created by the Manager in Store Admin.
- Gift Card Name - This is the name of Gift Card created in the Store Admin area when creating the Gift Card product.
- Gift Card Code - This is the code generated when the gift card was purchased and is displayed on the virtual gift card, visible to the recipient. This code should be used at checkout on the booking system or store in order to redeem the gift card balance.
- Total - This is the original gift card amount at the point of purchase.
- Remaining - This is the remaining amount on the gift card and this will be different than the total amount when the gift card code has been applied against a lesson or class booking or a store purchase.
On the right hand side, you can also click on the magnifying glass icon to find out more information relating to the transaction history of the specific gift card. When the code is used, you can see more information relating to the lesson date, the date it was used and the gift card amount deducted:
