Have you setup your automated Thank You email Yet?
For those of you reading this and thinking, what's that? Well, it's time now to discover one of the simplest but most effective components of your GLF.Locker system. Better still, you only need to set it up once and the system will do the rest.
Through the Manager User Role, navigate to the Email Templates drop down from the Emails Menu Navigation. On this screen you can setup and customise an automated Thank You Email sent by your GLF.Locker system after a student attends a lesson or class session. You can not only customise the email itself, but also how long after the class or lesson the email should be sent:
This feature will not only act as a simple way of re-engaging with your students after their lesson, but it will give you mechanism to prompt a required action. The exact way in which you use the Thank You Email will of course be completely up to you. However, some ideas that have made a huge difference to other users include:
1. Request a Review - How about asking students to leave a review of their experience on platforms such as Google Business. This is a great way of building trust with new students who find your services online. Above the lesson information within the email template, you could put something like this:
Thank you for attending your lesson or class. If you enjoyed your experience, I/We would be extremely grateful if you could leave a review about your experience on Google. As a small business, I/we grow my/our clients using referrals and this would really help spread the word about the services I/we offer. As a thank you, I/we will send you a discount code entitling you to (Insert %) off your next lesson booking!

2. Complete a Short Survey - You could also ask the student for their feedback about their lesson experience. This will help you to learn ways to improve your service, gather ratings or receive testimonials to use in your marketing or website. Simple surveying tools built into platforms such as Mailerlite, Google Forms or Survey Monkey could be used. To prompt responses, you could put something like this:
Thank you for attending your lesson or class. We would love to hear what you thought about your coaching experience. I/We would be extremely grateful if you complete our short customer survey. It will only take a few minutes and will really help us improve the services we offer. As a thank you, I/we will send you a discount code entitling you to (Insert %) off your next lesson booking!

3. Book a Follow Up Lesson with an Incentive - You could also use the Thank You template to encourage re-booking, to help drive your retention figures. Of course, there is no better time to do this than on the lesson tee, but a short reminder afterwards will drive your customers to re-book. You could even include a small incentive if a booking is made within a certain period to create some urgency:
Thank you for attending your lesson or class. It would be great to continue helping you with your game and if you are interesting in booking a follow up lesson, do this within 72-hours of receiving this email and you can save (Insert %) off your next lesson. Just use discount code (insert discount code).
4. Share A Recommend-a-Friend Incentive - There is no better and cheaper marketing strategy than word of mouth and the Thank You Email gives you the mechanism to share an incentive for your students to shout about your services. You will have a personal relationship with many of your students and most of them would be happy to do this for free if you just ask, but a little reward will only help! Share something like below:
Thank you for attending your lesson or class. As a small business, I/we grow our client base mainly through referrals. If you enjoyed your experience we would be grateful if you would recommend us to your friends or family. If you send them the discount code (insert code) they will receive 10% off their booking and in return, when they attend their lesson we will send you a discount code entitling you to (insert offer) as a thank you.
There are plenty more ways in which you can use this feature of the system, however what is for certain is that a quick thank you certainly will go along way in helping you get the most from your GLF.Locker system and see it make an impact on your business.
